Tsimmuaj Adam Xyooj

Hi, I’m Tsimmuaj Adam Xyooj. My name is pronounced “Chee Moua”. I am proud to be Hmong and I am very passionate about preserving Hmong culture for the future. 

Hand drawn Hmong Batik is an art form that is in danger of being lost forever. I founded Moon Love Batik in an effort to preserve this endangered art before it disappears forever. During the pandemic, Master Zu Xiong was experiencing a very difficult situation. I looked after her and cared for her, brought her food and medicine. I realized that if something wasn't done, her knowledge might disappear forever. Through my effort, Moon Love Batik has supported two young Master Batik Artists to train under renowned Master Batik Zu Xiong to help carry the knowledge, skills and meaning on for future generations. Without the effort of Moon Love Batik, this ancient art form would be lost. I have dedicated my life to this cause and have made many sacrifices to bring this dream to a reality.
